The Greek word (βάρβαρος) for "barbarian" originally referred to "one who stammers" and was used in Greece to describe foreigners who did not speak Greek or Latin and whose foreign language sounded like incomprehensible babbling to them.

According to history, legends, and movies, the Barbarians were the Slavic, Germanic, and Frankish tribes that ravaged Europe between the 3rd and 8th centuries, eventually conquering Rome itself.

Called Barbarians for their uncivilized customs, this term eventually took on diabolical connotations due to their wild and rough nature.

Their swords were robust and powerful, a sign of authority and respect in a world where force was law. This group of tribes and peoples prevailed in a fragmented Europe lacking strong political organization until the beginning of the Carolingian Empire.

The sword, finished in bronze with a fluted blade, depicts a winged, two-headed dragon.
