Sir Jean de Joinville was a French knight known for his bravery and devotion to his King. During the Seventh Crusade, Sir Jean de Joinville was attacked by a Saracen after losing his spear. Sir Jean de Joinville dodged the first attack, tucked his sword under his arm as he would a spear, and charged the Saracen. His valiant action inspired our choice of his name for this beautiful sword. This sword was very popular in France in the early 15th century.
The blade's design is enchanting, with elegant and simple lines. The handle is wooden with two brass ferrules. Perfectly balanced.
