Templar Sword of the Order of the Knights Templar, inspired by Spanish swords from the time of Philip II due to its openwork blade design.
The Order of the Temple was founded in 1118 to ensure the guardianship of the Holy Places and protect pilgrimage routes. The Order reached its peak in the 13th century.
Templar knights considered themselves Knights of God, the honor of the Church and Christianity.
Their motto, both for entering combat and for initiating any action to help others, was:
NON NOBIS, DOMINE, NON NOBIS, SED TUO NOMINI DA GLORIAM. "Give glory, not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name."
It was a very well-organized military force and formed the shock troops in all the Crusades.
Certificate of Origin and Quality, Made in Toledo.
