The Iberian falcata is a type of sword that was used in the Iberian Peninsula during the Iron Age and Roman times. It is a characteristic weapon of the Iberian people, and was used both in war and in hunting.
Iberian falcatas had a curved, single-edged blade, with a pronounced curvature near the tip. The blade was wider near the handle and tapered towards the tip which was rounded. The sword was around 60-80 cm in length and weighed around 1 kilogram.
The handle of the Iberian falcata was short and had a pronounced downward curve. It was made of wood, bone or ivory, and decorated with geometric or animal motifs. The guard was small and curved back, which helped protect the wearer's hand.
Our silver Iberian falcata is handcrafted in Toledo by MARTO and has a Certificate of Quality and Origin.
